Jon was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Raised in a family of bankers, real estate developers and preachers, he developed a strong interest in understanding the world's financial system. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oral Roberts University (with honors) and an MBA in Finance from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester.
He has worked as an equity analyst for a $7 billion money management company and managed investment portfolios at the largest financial institution in the world. Troubled by the conflicts of interest as well as a spirit of greed he encountered, Jon established his own wealth management company, Nash Capital Management offering private portfolio management to professionals and business owners nationwide.
Jon is the grandson of Dr. Oral Roberts, worldwide healing evangelist, university founder, author, and businessman. Jon grew up watching Oral turn visions written on a yellow pad into breathtaking reality through a lifestyle of faith in God and hard work. From the little sign in Oral's office exclaiming “make no little plans here” to the blueprints for gigantic buildings, Jon was inspired to believe in a God of healing and abundance. In addition, he learned the value of strong faith and perseverance as he observed his grandparents Oral & Evelyn walk through great opposition to reach their destiny.
Jon believes that business and ministry are equally important to the future of Christianity as well as to the role he will play in helping people become profitable stewards. In 2005, he was ordained as a minister of the gospel by his grandfather.
Jon serves part-time as an Associate Pastor and Executive Director of Marketing & Media at Faith Temple in Rochester, New York. In addition to his role as a teacher of Biblical principles, he oversees the church's advertising strategy, website as well as a humorous bible-based TV show entitled Three60TV.
In 2003, Jon designed and launched a Bible-based personal debt reduction program that has been tested in four churches in the Rochester area. He currently oversees Faith Temple's financial coaching ministries, helping individuals become better stewards of their time, talent, and resources in preparation for a life of success.
He speaks throughout the country motivating people to overcome great obstacles on their path to divine destiny and wise stewardship. He and his wife Hillary currently reside in Rochester, NY with their children.
